Welcome to Fail Better Productions

Fail Better Productions is a growing collective of young theatre artists that strive for intensity and detail in textually rich and visually arresting performance.

News:

We are delighted to announce our forthcoming Residency at The CAPITAL Centre (April 2008 - April 2009) which has three strands (Beckett, Shakespeare and Myth) supplemented by a full production in Autumn '08 and public events in Spring '09.

2007 was a stimulating 'come-back' year for Fail Better with Beckett at Warwick, Gogol in London and Persephone in development.

The CAPITAL Centre (co-established by Warwick University and the RSC) invited us to stage Stasis: Beckett Shorts at their opening festival in May (other contributors included Tim Supple, Harriet Walter and Barrie Rutter). We then brought this production back to Warwick for their Beckett and Visual Culture Conference in November.

Recently named 'Best Fringe Show of 2007' (Tamara Gausi in Time Out) our devised adaptation of Gogol's Diary of a Madman had a three-week run at the Rosemary Branch Theatre, London. Audiences and critics admired Chris Tester's "absorbing performance in this Beckettian drama" (Time Out London) which the actor co-devised with our Artistic Director Jonathan Heron.

We returned to the Rosemary Branch in November to close their new work festival with a rehearsed reading of Persephone.
